CARLA ANDREA
JUNIOR YEAR
HOPES/GOALS
My goals for junior year are to maintain my 4.0 GPA, get more involved in the community, and learn how to manage my time better. These are things that will help me become more responsible and will give me skills that I could use for my future.
In terms of internship, I hope to gain new connections and leave a good impression with my mentor and hopefully maintain in contact after my internship so that I have a resource that is my own.
MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT
The most memorable moment of junior year so far has been advisory olympics. At HTHCV, we take Advisory Olympics very serious. Everyone always tries their best to push their team to win, but ultimately they care if they have fun the most. In past years my advisory, this year named Ruland’s Ravers, were a part of the “house” that won AO. This year we did not win the trophy, but the funny thing about it all is that this year is the one where I feel we had the most fun. We were all united, we took the time to care for each other, and in some way we were all connected. My advisory is like a second family to me and with every responsibility that comes with being a junior, we have not had time to bond. This was one of the first moments this year that felt and physically saw us bond, just like past years.
STUDENT EVOLUTION
This semester I have been able to evolve as a writer and as a scientist. I have become more confident in my writing and am paying closer attention to detail not only in my writing, but also through the types of observations we have done in science class. I have become more particular about the work I do and am trying to get better at managin my time to make the most beautiful work possible.
