PERSUASIVE WRITING

Our persuasive essays were used as ways to represent what we most cared about. We went through multiple drafts, constantly refining our work to understand how to write about claim, evidence, reasoning, and thesis statements.

Each student wrote about their social topic. My selected topic was urbanization and the effect it has on the natural world as well as mental health. I often explain about the connection humans and nature have and how urbanization is putting our happiness at risk. In bringing it all back together, I carefully state that only by using a greater developed environmental design, would urbanization create an ambient presence for humans to feel happier.

We closely looked at how to properly write a thesis. After many drafts, my thesis sentence was "Today’s form of worldwide urbanization must be fused with an architectural design principle of nature in order to  increase happiness, decrease violence, and prolong the existence of humans on Earth.
